Patrick Beverley is coming home. On an episode of “The Pat Bev Podcast” released Tuesday, the guard confirmed that he is returning to the Windy City and will join the Chicago Bulls. The team also announced Beverley’s signing, as expected. “I get to take my son to school. I get to take my son and my baby girl to school,” he said from vacation in Paris. “I get to pick ’em up. I get to rep my city on my chest, proudly. If you think I went hard for other teams, just imagine how I’m gonna go hard for this one.” Beverley was born and raised in Chicago and played high school basketball at John Marshall Metropolitan High School. As a senior, he led the state of Illinois with 37.3 points per game. He’s spent 10 years in the NBA with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers. He played the first half of this season with the Lakers and was traded to the Orlando Magic before the trade deadline, but was soon waived by coach Jamahl Mosley’s team.
